Karma Kandara is proud to announce its inaugural Conservation Turtle Release Event, scheduled for Saturday, July 27, from 3 to 6 PM at Karma Kandara Beach. This event marks a significant step in their commitment to marine conservation and community engagement.
The event will feature the release of 500 turtles into the ocean, with Karma Kandara sponsoring 200 of these turtles. Joined by esteemed nonprofit organizations and community stakeholders such as the Bali Life Foundation orphanage, Local Yacht Community, Seka Teruna Aruna Anindita, the Chief of Village Banjar Wijaya Kusuma, I Wayan Sumartika, local fisherman, Kelompok Nelayan, and students from SD No 7 Ungasan local elementary school, they aim to foster a sense of environmental stewardship and community involvement among all participants.
“At Karma Kandara, we believe deeply in the value of community and giving back,” said by John Spence, the founder at Karma Kandara. “While this marks our first community-led turtle release event, our dedication to the community outreach dates back to 2015 when we began our partnership with the Bali Life Foundation. We regularly provide support to the foundation, including monthly lunches for the orphans, as part of our ongoing commitment to making a positive impact.”
Guests can contribute to **BKDSA Turtle Conservation** or support the **Bali Life Foundation** through donations, emphasizing their collective responsibility towards wildlife preservation and community welfare.
