Since 1675 The Royal Palace of Puri Anyar Kerambitan in Tabanan Regency has existed and is one of the only Palaces still in its original state in Bali. Generations of Royal families have also seen the palace as a place to proudly showcase Balinese culture also to foreigners. In recent memory AA Ngurah Oka Silagunada was one of the first to open the Puri to the likes of King Hussein of Jordan, Whitney Houston and Mick Jagger.
The most recent descendant of the Royal lineage is AA Ngurah Bagus Erawan who has maintained and grown that heritage by working with aligned expatriates alike such as Robert Ian Bonnick of RiB & Associates – over the past five years.
Together AA Ngurah Bagus Erawan and Robert Ian Bonnick have co-supported, collaborated on and in some cases co-engineered over 15 special gatherings at the Puri from the ceremonial cremation of his father to the Sacred Lontar ceremony, 528th Anniversary of a Tabanan and many key investor gatherings.
Working together with the support and blessing of the Mayorship and local government of Tabanan – the second largest regency here in Bali; and very beautiful boasting mountains, rice paddies, ocean, black sand beaches and a UNESCO World Heritage site in Jatiluwih Rice Terraces and much more.
In this regard AA Ngurah Bagus Erawan and Robert Ian Bonnick have curated several important meetings including;
- The first visit of The Tourism Minister of The Republic Of Indonesia, Sandiaga S. Uno for an intimate investor gathering at the start of the year.
- This also included the Mayorship of Tabanan in Wakil Bupati Tabanan, Bapak Edi Wirawan Meninjau Langsung and local government members, which they later followed up in two more separate meetings.
Since then they have founded a Tabanan Community WA (WhatsApp Group);
For stakeholders, landowners, businesses and those interested in Tabanan Regency to meet, learn more about each other and network (with an opportunity to discuss responsible projects in accordance with regulations, guidelines and zoning plan).
Last week was the fourth meeting in this series creating a sense of hope for the future, opportunities to work constructively together, within zoning guidelines and maintain the balance in this beautiful regency of Bali.
